The Melbourne Institute of Massage & Myotherapy (MIMT) is delighted to announce that government-subsidised training, (Skills First, formerly the Victorian training guarantee), is now available for our Certificate, Diploma & Advanced Diploma courses (eligibility criteria apply).

Please find below a quick step by step guide which outlines the eligibility criteria. If you meet the criteria, you’re eligible for funding!

As a reminder, the following courses offered by the Melbourne Institute of Massage & Myotherapy (MIMT) are eligible for funding:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be, an individual must meet Victorian Training Guarantee requirements as follows:

a/ An individual must be:

  • Australian citizen
  • Australian Permanent Resident (holder of a permanent visa)
  • Holder of a Special Category Visa (sub-class 444, New Zealand citizen)

and

b/ An individual must enrol and commence training in a course or qualification provided by the RTO between the later of 1 January 2024 or when the VET Funding contract is executed, and 31 December 2024 inclusive.

In addition to meeting the requirements above, an individual is only eligible to:

The ‘2 Skill Sets in a year’ and ‘2 AQF qualifications in a year’ limits

  • In a calendar year, a student (regardless of their age) may only commence a maximum of two:
  • Skills First subsidised Skill Sets; and
  • Two Skills First subsidised programs that are AQF qualifications.

The ‘2 at a time’ limit

  • A student (regardless of their age) may only commence a maximum of two Skills First subsidised programs at any one time.

Must have a physical presence in Victoria during the term of their course duration. This is confirmed through the collection of a valid driver’s licence or in the instance that a licence is not available, the Course Advisor will collect a utility bill which includes the Victorian based address.
