VU23639 - Provide Myofascial Dry Needling Treatment
This unit equips allied health professionals with the skills to safely and effectively apply myofascial dry needling (MDN) for treating musculoskeletal conditions. It covers trigger point identification, needling techniques, risk management, infection control, and legal requirements. It ensures practitioners can assess clients, integrate MDN into treatment plans, and provide safe, effective care.
VU23634 – Manage Health Risks in a Myotherapy Environment
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to identify, assess, and manage health risks in a myotherapy setting. It includes implementing infection control procedures, maintaining workplace hygiene, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Practitioners will learn to minimise risks related to cross-contamination, hazardous materials, and workplace safety while promoting client and practitioner well-being.
